Toplis & Harding (International) Plc was established in Fribourg on 11th March 1971.
The Swiss company took over the Loss Adjusting firm founded by Mr Durban Squire back
in 1952 on the demand of Lloyd’s Underwriters, led by Cuthbert Heath and others.
The ability to deal with losses in French, German and Swiss German, in addition to English,
has enabled Toplis and Harding SA to enjoy the continued confidence of Lloyd’s Underwriters
fulfilling the role as originally conceived 50 years earlier.
Further to the association with McLarens in 1996, exposure to new markets
and Insurers followed, Toplis and Harding SA becoming a key player for existing
programmes and a source of new contacts for the international network.
Currently, mandates received from domestic and overseas carriers particularly
in relation to global programmes has established the firm as able to undertake
assignments at all levels for a variety of principals.
